JJID has the equipment, experience and the skilled personnel necessary
to safely and efficiently perform all types of underground utility
projects, both large and small. Every year JJID installs miles of
underground utilities, from underground utility repairs, partial
replacements and water line installations for both private and public
utilities to complete water, storm water and sewer systems as part
of much more involved site work packages.
JJID recently completed the site work contract for the new Wal-Mart
Superstore in Elkton, MD. A 33-acre commercial site development
project, involving earthwork, utilities and paving for a 218,000
square-foot building and 15-acre parking lot, performed on a demanding
9-month schedule through winter conditions. Concurrent with the
earthwork was the installation of over 6,000 feet of storm sewer,
5,000 feet of water mains and over 2,500 feet of sanitary sewer,
including a pump station.
The range of JJID services includes smaller projects completed in
2006 including; Drainage Work for W.L. Gore, Lums Pond Pump Station
for New Castle County and an underground utility installation project
at the Dover Air Force Base.
